November 2017 to-do list


Looking back at my post history, the last time I posted one of this to-do list style blog post was back in June 2017 (obviously). It was when I was so excited and hyped to come to Belgium for my internship that I'd list everything in the to-do's, talked about how excited it was going to be for me, and things I wanted to go when I get here. Being here for just over four months now, living in Belgium gives me no life. Here is why.


  1. I wake up at 6.30am to get ready to go to work for 9am. 
  2. It takes me about an hour to get to work and I would be at work about 8.30am. It's nice to be early.
  3. I will work from 9am - 6pm. 
  4. I don't get home until 7pm.
  5. I workout for an hour.
  6. I have to shower and wash my hair, that would be another hour, it would be 8pm by then.
  7. Then I have to cook dinner and lunch for the next day, to the cleaning after myself, that would have been 10.30pm. 
  8. I go to sleep at 11pm 12am at latest. 

See why I have no life? Yep, I honestly don't. 

So this month, I decided to make a to-do list so I get a lot more done in my own time. Since is not long before we welcome the year of 2018, I would like to dedicate this month to practicing for a better mindset for mental health purposes.

  • Meditate for 10 minutes every morning
  • Journal every night to reflect on my day
  • Gratitude journal
  • Life is easy journal
  • Work on my daily routine that will help me have a better lifestyle
  • Meal plan that will help me live a healthier lifestyle
  • Cut down on unhealthy food
  • Workout 5 days a week without cutting down the reps
  • Avoid excuses

In order to know what you need to work on and improve on in your life, you need to know which area you are not so strong at and you need extra focus in that specific area. For me, I have let my depression take over. I shouldn't really let it happen but when it comes, I couldn't control it. The points above are what I need to work on in order to not let my depression take control based on many researches that I have done and courses that I have taken to help cure my depression.
